The Motorola Talkabout T100 Alkaline Two-Way Radios are awesome for children!

I was given a set of these awesome Two-Way Radios from Motorola Solutions to review.

While searching for a birthday gift for my soon to be 10 year old daughter and soon to be 6 year old son, I came across this set of two-way radios.  These radios are compact and easy to use.  Their small size is perfect for the small hands of elementary age children.  They are perfect for kids who may not be responsible enough for a cell phone of their own, but you still want to have the ability to check in with them while they are out playing in the neighborhood.

Kids love playing with two-way radios, and this is an awesome set.  They have 22 channels and a range of up to 16 miles, making them perfect to take along on a hike, picnic or camping trip.  They will allow you to communicate in areas where your cell phone will not work.  They are powered by 3 AAA batteries (not included) which will last up to 18 hours.  When the batteries are getting low, you will be alerted with a flashing low battery alert.  It has a call tone, a keypad tone and a talk confirmation tone.

Features include battery save/power save, monitor, auto squelch, keypad lock and a time-out timer.  It comes with a one year warranty.  They will receive communication from any similar type devices.  Thanks to their small size, they can easily be slipped into your pocket, backpack or purse, making them perfect to take along with you anywhere.

You can purchase these radios on their website, Target or Walmart.  They retail for a very affordable $34.99 per pair and are available in your choice of neon blue or bright pink.
