Murbles is a very fun outdoor game that can be played and enjoyed by every member of your family, regardless of their age or level of physical fitness. This game is perfect for little kids, tweens, teens, adults and even grandparents! EVERYONE can play! It's great for family barbecues, days at the beach, camping trips or anywhere!
It's super easy to learn and play, and there's nothing to set up. It's very easy to take along with you when you travel because all you need is the balls. They even come in a convenient carry bag to keep the balls together and make it easy to carry them. Each Murble is 3" in diameter. They are solid, high density plastic balls that weigh ½ pound each.
Murbles are made in the USA and are available in several different colors. When you place your order, you get to choose the colors of your Murbles, and even the color of the carry bag! You can purchase larger sets to accommodate more players, or purchase additional sets and combine them to increase the number of players.
There are 2 Murbles of each color except white target ball, of which there is only one. To play, each player chooses their color and whoever is the challenger gets the white target ball. All players stand side by side in a line as the challenger throws the target ball forward with an underhanded throw. All players must stay in their position in the line once the target ball is thrown. Once the target ball stops rolling, the players take turns trying to get their balls as close to the target ball as they can, with the player who threw the target ball going last. Each player must use underhanded throws. Once all players have taken their turn, the round is complete. The person whose ball is the closest to the target ball receives 1 point for each ball he has closer than any other ball color. Only one player receives points during a round. Once the points are tallied, the players collect their balls and return to their same position in line to begin a new round. The player who received the point or points becomes the one who throws the target ball for the new round.
You can receive 1 to 2 points in a round, and when a player reaches 10 points it's called a set. A game is best 2 out of 3 sets.
So many things can affect the outcome of a round, so winning the game depends as much on luck as it does skill. Tree roots, stones, dips in the terrain, and more can send a ball off course. You can hit another player's ball with yours and cause it to roll either closer or further away from the target ball, changing the outcome of the game. Even the target ball can be moved by being hit by a player's ball. Because only the position of the balls at the end of a round matters, the outcome can surprise you.
The really great thing about this game is that everyone can play, regardless of age and mobility. And everyone has an equal chance to win. It really is the perfect outdoor family game!
