Something Different for Your Kids

I received these products from Kids' Cake Boxes for review.  With the pandemic still going on, kids have unfortunately been unable to get together.  It's been especially bad for kids when their birthday rolls around because they are not able to have a party.  But these cake boxes offer a way for them to get together via a virtual party online.  So if your little one has been sad about not being able to have a birthday party, Kids' Cake Boxes could be your solution!  It's also great for a virtual Valentine's Day party!

First you need to decide how many kids you want to invite, then you order a cake box (priced at $25 each) for each child.  The cake box will be delivered to each child's home so they can bake it for the party.  Each Kids' Cake Box contains the necessary beginnings of a personalized cake:

  • 4”x2” cake pan
  • cake mix (your choice of regular or gluten free)
  • frosting mix
  • cocoa powder packet
  • sprinkles packet (your choice of color)
  • recipe card
  • invitation to the party (for the guests) or a birthday candle (for the birthday kid)

Each baker will need to provide:

For the cake:

  • 1 Large Egg
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla
  • 2 Tablespoons Milk
  • 3 Tablespoons Softened Butter
  • Crisco or non-stick spray
  • A bit of flour to prep the pan for baking

For the frosting:

  • 1 Tablespoon Softened Butter
  • 1 Tablespoon Milk
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Vanilla

Then ask the children to bake their cake and mix up their frosting just before the party.  But tell them not to decorate it because all children will do that together online during the virtual party.

Kids connect online and they each decorate their cake together.  Each child will decorate their own cake exactly the way they want it.  And the fun part is sharing their creation with each other!  Whether you choose to order the same color sprinkles for all of the children, or personalize the sprinkle color to each child, they will love that they are able to decorate their cake the way they want.  And they'll be thrilled to eat a cake that they made themselves.
