Cosmetics for the pale girl

If you have fair skin like me, then you know how much of a challenge it is finding makeup that suits your complexion.  You understand the challenges of finding suitable makeup for the "pale girl".  Particularly challenging for me is foundation and highlighter.  It's been my experience that even the ones labeled "Fair" or "Light" are invariably too dark to look natural on me.  But now I have finally found the perfect shade of highlighter.  A friend suggested that I check out OFRA Cosmetics, and while browsing their website, I found Star Island Highlighter.

I often choose to skip foundation, face powders, highlighters and things of that nature because I prefer a more natural look.  I haven't had a lot of luck finding these products in shades that complement my fair complexion, so I was happy when I found such a good match for me.

Another great thing about this highlighter is the compact that it comes in.  It's a refillable magnetic compact, so when the highlighter is all gone, all you have to do is get a refill to put in the compact and you're good to go again.

I don't like a highlighter that's chunky and thick because it feels so unnatural on my face.  But this one is creamy, lightweight and easy to apply.  A little goes a long way.  It's great for normal everyday wear, but if you want a look that's more bold and dramatic, you just apply a thicker layer.  And even with a thicker layer of it on my face, it still doesn't feel heavy.

I plan to continue my search for "pale girl appropriate" makeup shades, but I think this highlighter is a keeper.  If you have any suggestions for cosmetics that are great for a light complected, fair skinned pale girl, please let me know!
