Inexpensive Ways To Pimp Your Ride

Since Xzibit introduced the immensely successful Pimp My Ride series in the early 2000s, men (and women!) all over the world have been looking for innovative methods to improve the appearance of their automobiles. There are many different things that you can do to "pimp your ride," ranging from modifications that are ridiculously expensive to those that are inexpensive and cheerful. Let's discuss some of the more affordable methods, from car lights to mats, that you can use to give your automobile a whole new look.

Floor Mats

The interior of your car is just as important as the exterior when it comes to pimping it out. Take a look around your home. I'm sure that you have carpets or some other kind of respectable flooring. If you're like me, you want your house to be clean, warm and inviting in appearance. Don't you want the same for your vehicle? Floor mats are excellent at preventing mud and spills from staining the flooring. You should use floor mats that are not only tough and long lasting (rubber is always a fantastic option), but also look great.

Seat Protectors

If you have factory standard seats in your vehicle, they probably aren't fancy or interesting in appearance. Most automakers just install basic and standard seating without thinking about aesthetics. But you can give your car a nicer, more personalized look by simply utilizing seat covers over the existing seating. You can get seat covers that will keep you toasty in the winter and refreshingly cool in the summer. They'll also protect your seats, which means that if you ever decide to sell your vehicle, the seats being in pristine condition will increase the value to potential buyers.

Rims

Wheels can determine the success or failure of your vehicle. If you get them right, your automobile will look very nice and sharp. If you don't get them just right, not only will your vehicle look bad, but it may even have a negative impact on its performance. When you're accelerating, turning or braking, having rims that are wider will help improve the grip and traction. Steel rims are longer lasting, but they're also heavier. So when you're driving on a bumpy road you'll have a rougher ride that's likely to cause discomfort. In contrast, aluminum is lighter, so it will be able to better absorb the heat that's generated by the brakes, while helping to conserve gasoline. Carefully select the look and feel that you want to go for, because if they don't complement your automobile, they are going to attract unwanted attention.

Car Door Lights

Installing car door lights allows you to give the impression that your vehicle is completely customized even after the sun has set and the motor is turned off. It's possible that having these will prevent you and your passengers from getting out of the vehicle into a deep muddy puddle. Not only do they serve an aesthetic purpose, but they are also really helpful, providing you with an additional source of light. As a result, you'll be able to see the ground when you open the door, and you'll never unexpectedly step out into a deep mud puddle again.

Tints For The Windows

When it comes to tinting your windows, you need to exercise extreme caution because tinting the windows on the front of your vehicle can put you in violation of the law. However, as long as a sufficient amount of light is allowed to enter the vehicle, there is no reason why you can't have the back window tinted. It provides you with a heightened sense of solitude and has the potential to shield your passengers from the strong glare of bright sunlight. In addition to that, if you have children, it might even persuade them to fall asleep and take a nap!
